Recorded soon after Hurricane Katrina in the practice room of a Gulfport, MS music store that shall remain completely nameless because they refused to let me sell the CD in the store when it was done. So there.
From the liner notes:
In the late 1970s, Fiesta Time was a popular Mexican restaurant and bar on Courthouse Road in Gulfport, MS. Then the owner died suddenly, his kids squabbled over ownership, and the nightspot closed and fell into disrepair.
The cheerful yellow and red sign greeted Courthouse Road traffic for decades with the promise of a fiesta somewhere inside the delapidated overgrown building. Hurricane Katrina finally destroyed the sign and ended the pretense in August 2005.
