It seems auspicious (and a good idea, even) to start this new project with a song that I used as my opening number for many a gig back in the day. Yes, it’s actually the second track on Windows and Walls (after the Prelude), but Open Like A Door is just a flat out invitation to anyone who might hesitate. Come on in, grab a beer, I don’t bite.

Open Like A Door is a welcome to the listener, as well as an invitation from a listener. An open door is even more inviting than an open window. But keep in mind that when a door shuts, it might as well be a wall.
