Greetings all! My name is John Voorhees, and I’ve been writing and recording folk-rock-type songs for almost 20 years now … and they’re really starting to stack up and clutter things. StudioBlog is here to help me deal with that in a few different ways.

First of all, as you may have noticed, this is now my official overall home page, replacing what was a pretty static scene. I mean, it was nice and all, but a little more activity was in order. StudioBlog hopes to keep you coming back to see what’s happening next.

I’m finally christening my backyard studio setup, and this will be a running tally of what’s being done in there with the free time I have available. I plan on giving you lots to listen to. Maybe even a few videos.

Also, I will be blogging and tagging all my old material one song at a time, complete with full lyrics. Eventually, I will have a nice little annotation set next to the download links.

I also expect that I’ll be dropping in some tunes and videos by people who are not me. Stuff I just plain like, and maybe you’ll like too. I hope that doesn’t weird anybody out.
